Large, two-toned flowers that bloom twice per year? Erm, yes please! 'Baroness Fookes' is a simply lovely clematis variety, and one we think you should know about!
The flowers comprise mauve central bandings surrounded with ruffled violet edges, while red anthers help the blooms really shine. Held against the lush green foliage, these blooms scream impact.
Hardy and simple to grow, the compact nature of this variety (growing to just one metre or so in height) makes it a good pick for container growing, or placing near the front of beds and borders.
